Complex trauma & C-PTSD therapy in Pennsylvania and Maryland

Maybe you’ve spent years reading the room, masking parts of yourself, or trying to be easy to love. You might be questioning the expectations you grew up with, setting boundaries with family, or realizing how much energy it takes to appear “fine.”

You can understand your patterns and still need support changing them.

Together, we can explore what you’ve learned to do to get through life — and build more room for your needs, relationships, interests, and joy. You don’t have to know whether “trauma” is the right word to begin.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in complex trauma and C-PTSD, with particular experience in childhood and developmental trauma, attachment wounds, and sexual trauma.

My style is warm, down-to-earth, and engaged. There’s room for humor, tangents, honest questions, and days when words are hard to find. I’ll bring thoughtful guidance, help you connect the dots, and gently challenge patterns that are getting in your way.

We’ll also make room for what makes you you — and what you’re hoping life can be.

Hi, I’m Katlyn.

Childhood and relationship experiences can shape how you see yourself, what you expect from others, and how comfortable it feels to have needs.

Our work can make room for those deeper patterns alongside what’s happening in your life now. That might mean working through a painful memory, understanding why conflict feels overwhelming, or practicing a boundary you’ve wanted to set.

My therapy approach includes EMDR, IFS-informed parts work, ACT, DBT, narrative therapy, and somatic approaches. I’ll explain the options, help us develop a plan, and check in about what’s helping.

You can bring your questions. I’ll bring my clinical knowledge, curiosity, and care.

Care that understands how the past can show up in the present.

Maybe I had not really been broken this whole time. Maybe I had been a human—flawed and still growing but full of light nonetheless.
